In my twenties and thirties, I loved everything about beauty. Getting my nails done, trying a new lotion, finding a perfume, or wandering through the beauty aisles. Not to impress anybody. I just loved how it made me feel.
I could have no makeup on, but a beautiful scent or a good hand cream in my purse made me feel good. It was about how I felt about myself.
THEN LIFE GOT VERY FULL
COVID. Kids. Marriage. Making lunches, running a household, and being everything to everyone. Somewhere along the way, I lost touch with that part of me.
I love my family more than anything. But I realized I had spent so much time making sure everyone else was happy that I’d forgotten to do the same for myself.
NOW, I’M GETTING BACK TO ME
Sometimes it’s a small beauty find. Sometimes it’s saving for a perfume I’ve been eyeing. Sometimes it’s twenty minutes to myself. It’s about remembering what makes me feel good.
That’s why I created My Turn Finally. A little beauty, a little luxury, and a little something just for you.
Yes, I’m a mom. A wife. A lot of things to a lot of people. But before all of that, I’m me. And she deserves some love, too.
Let’s rediscover ourselves together. ♡
