A little time for yourself can be ordinary. A cup of tea while it is still warm. A chapter of a book. A favorite song with nobody asking you to skip it.
START WITH SOMETHING YOU ALREADY LIKE
You don’t need to invent a perfect routine. Write down three things you enjoy, including one that needs no purchase and almost no preparation.
MAKE THE PLAN SMALL ENOUGH TO HAPPEN
Choose a manageable moment in your day or week. If your household needs someone else to cover a task, have that conversation rather than trying to fit yourself into the leftover minutes.
LET IT COUNT
You don’t need a photograph or a finished project to show for it. A moment can be worthwhile because you enjoyed it.
You can love your family with everything you have and still save a little of that love for yourself.
